All my life I never really had a friend that remained constant, except for maybe one or two. Regardless of...
The above blog entry is based pretty much solely on the word of God, and much of it is what I believe in my life. This is probably very controversial, but I like to keep an open opinion, and sometimes it is best to look at both sides of the argument. I have done so, and this is what I agree with. How about you?
What is our world coming to? These days are definitely the last days of earth, for many reasons. God is probably ready to use His justice on the world for many reasons, one of which has been heavy on my mind. How can people want to save trees and animals, and promote accordingly, yet kill children through abortion? Their views are all twisted around. Yes, we should take care of the creation of God, yet the point is being missed that a human life is precious in the sight of God, and the loss of a baby through a choice must grieve God so much.
Just started looking back in recent areas of my life and realized that no matter how slow a day, or a week, or a college break, it all went “fast” in the long run. Time truly begins to go faster the older you become; the question is, do I truly value it as a gift from God, or use it for my own laziness?
Did you ever realize that more and more Christian “praise and worship” songs are becoming so that you wonder who they are praising? How many songs like this can you think of? The true, Jesus-worshiping songs are not coming out like they used to, and songs that are becoming popular in churches do not even mention Jesus, God or the Holy Spirit. They instead refer to “he,” “you,” and other pronouns. How hard is it to add the names of God into the song? Would it not be better to truly understand Who the song is written for, rather than listening to it because it does not offend others with God’s names?
Wow, just heard a sermon by Tim Friel during which he said that humans will glorify God at one point in their existence: willingly on earth and then in heaven, or none at all on earth, but then glorify the justice of God in hell. Whew, that was really deep…
I am a Christian, yet still fall to sin. I know what I have to do, yet often do not do it. Paul truly knew what he was saying: “the good that I will to do, I do not do; but the evil I will not to do, that I practice.” (Romans 7:19 NKJV) Decisions are so influential to all of our lives, yet many are taken without second thought of the long-term consequences of the actions being taken. The thought of how many times, when it pops into my mind, positively aggravates me but gives me a “push” to think before I do.
Hey!
Thanks for taking some time out of your day to read this blog! Well, I guess to begin with, an introduction is in order. My name is Shane Steinman, and I am a college student currently studying for the major of both Bible and Administrative Business. I must admit, most of what I will say on this blog will be mostly applicable to me, but it is possible that it may apply to any who read this.
Personally, I love a good joke, try to find something joyful in all that I do and experience, and am often referred by one of my good friends that I sometimes make you want to beat me up just because of some of my quirks; strangely, this has not happened yet. My face remains thankful because of this, but it is mostly through the patience of my friends that the event has not happened yet.
Well, that is a very brief summary of myself, and it is most likely that more of my “quirks” and personality traits will express themselves in the posts to come, but, one has to wait and see. Thanks again for visiting, and I hope that you are blessed in this new year of 2011!
